Team & Leadership Resilience Workshops

While our training cannot influence external stressors, change organisational structures or financial realities, we specialise in strengthening social and emotional competencies and creating psychologically safe workplaces with our clients.
For over 20 years, we have delivered impactful workshops. We understand the limitations of short two-hour motivational talks and standalone workshop days. However, with our extensive experience and powerful EASEL tools, we promise to deliver a noticeable impact in just a day or two.
“The best leadership training we have had in four years in the EU commission. This should be compulsory to all the Heads of Departments”
Our approach to performance and resilience is highly specialised, merging track record, scientific grounding and therapeutic depth:
* Experience 15+ years: coaching clients from small and large companies, public sectors, media, sports, organisations like UN and more. And 20+ years of running EASEL methodology workshops and professional training programs.
* Scientific Base: EASEL is grounded in social neurosciences, biochemistry of health, and evidence-based methods from education, supervision, coaching, and psychotherapy.
* Therapeutic Depth: As certified psychotherapists, Mari and Katja can safely address psychological risk factors and the significant influence of private life on professional performance and resilience during high-stakes change and challenging periods.
* EASEL® (Applied EQ): Our work is underpinned by Experiential Social Emotional Learning methodology, which Mari developed 20+ years ago and, together with Linda, Anna and Katja and other co-facilitators, she has also trained hundreds of professionals in Finland and abroad. Strengthening EQ and social competence with this psychoeducational framework is key to our clients’ sustained results.
When organisations seek to implement changes, navigate significant restructuring, or develop new work practices, the responsibility ultimately falls on individuals to implement these changes in their daily work. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on creating a lasting impact at both the individual and team levels, and strive to link theory to the participants’ own experiences.
“Mari brought a strong scientific foundation—especially from social neuroscience and related fields—into our coaching days, making it understandable and directly applicable to our work as leadership coaches. She has an exceptional ability to connect research with everyday realities and explain human behavioral patterns in an engaging way. Her approach is intense and compelling. I highly recommend Mari as an impactful coach, trainer, and speaker.”
A typical workshop
- Tailored content that adapts to participants’ needs – even during the day – helping teams gain clarity on key areas for improvement and tools and insights to take away.
- A morning that challenges thinking and widens perspectives with visual tools and research-based information that we link to participants’ real-life work. Then we ask: “Now that you have this knowledge, how will you apply it?” allowing participants time over lunch to further reflect on how the concepts relate to themselves, their core tasks, and workplace relationships.
- An afternoon focusing on implementation. After lunch, participants are typically ready to discuss concrete areas for change within their control. We ensure a safe atmosphere for open dialogue. We help teams identify key themes and choose methods that best support their development and goals for the day.
- Whether it’s using flip charts to map out an action plan, summarising insights visually, or taking the discussion outdoors, we ensure meaningful outcomes. We never push team members into “games” for the sake of engagement, as the greatest adventure takes place in one’s own head. However, we are experts in experiential social and emotional learning, and have, at the request of clients, refined collaboration skills even with less conventional experiential activities, such as interactions with our trained horses, teamwork in escape rooms, and painting in our art studio—all while staying firmly focused on the client’s objectives. Let’s plan together if you seek more adventurous activities.
- Documentation of key insights. The client photographs or collects relevant notes, and within a week, we send the slides used during the session for distribution among participants.
“Mari Louhi has been our guide for two days in improving our workplace culture. She has provided safe facilitation and support for our discussions. Mari has a unique ability to create an atmosphere where we can openly discuss matters that have never been voiced before. Through these sessions, we have established value-based ground rules for our organisation and gained valuable knowledge about workplace well-being and the importance of mindful interaction. The second day highlighted giving and receiving feedback as the key development area.
Beyond the coaching days themselves, our team has received extensive materials to support both individual and team-level reflection and growth. Our journey toward a consciously built collaborative and communicative culture is now well underway. Our workplace survey results in autumn 2018 showed a clear improvement in workplace cohesion, and for the first time in a decade, our survey results indicated that our team is development-oriented! Employees also reported greater control over their work and an improved experience of leadership. We will continue to focus on strengthening our relational culture.”
We tailor all our services to meet the needs of our clients. For individual coaching and therapy, this flexibility is expected; however, we take pride in ourability to fine-tune group trainings on the go, ensuring that the content and methods align with the question, and therefore we specialise in creating workshops that support individual growth, even in group processes and needs that arise in participants.
Why work on the relational culture?
Tired teams often say:
“We have an amazing group of people, but a poor workplace atmosphere.”
People want to do their work well, feel valued, and enjoy their work environment. A positive workplace culture must be built consciously. A negative one often develops unintentionally over time – especially when stress levels remain high for too long. The work starts with each individual and therefore we are specialized in creating workshops that support individual growth even in group process.
Strengthening own emotional competence enhances resilience, well-being, and overall job performance, regardless of profession or industry. In relationship-based professions, its impact is even greater. Building a psychologically safe workplace culture also requires relationship skills and has well-documented benefits:
- Improved teamwork
- Increased job satisfaction
- Higher productivity and quality
- More innovation and creativity
- Stronger commitment to the organisation
- Enhanced customer satisfaction
Even in workplaces where many external factors cannot be influenced, individuals and teams can still improve own resilience and workplace atmosphere – and that is where we focus our efforts. When needed, we also offer additional one-on-one or small-group coaching to complement the workshop days.
