Katja Kiuru
First and foremost, I see myself as a mother, grandmother, wife, and a horse enthusiast. The best thing I know is wandering through the forest with my loved ones, dogs, and horses.
I am a nurse (MHC / UAS), brief and family psychotherapist, coach/supervisor, and EASEL Trainer. I completed the EASEL Instructor training in 2007, and since then, it has been an integral part of both my work and life.
Professionally, my career has been dedicated to walking alongside, guiding, and supporting people of all ages through different life stages. I have spent the longest part of my career in our family business in the field of child protection, working as a foster mother, entrepreneur, manager, and therapist. In addition, I actively provide coaching/supervision, training, and lectures.
My areas of expertise include developing interpersonal skills, experiential social and emotional learning incorporating animal- and nature-assisted methods, social neuroscience in everyday life, and attachment-based therapeutic work.
I work as a psychotherapist and coach/supervisor for professionals, workplace communities, and line managers in our family company Kotatuli in Rovaniemi. So, if you’re in Northern Finland, feel free to reach out! At Savikko, I am one of the facilitators in EASEL Facilitator programs.
